"I'm familiar with a number of names that he knew during his active period, some with connections to Hagen, but all of whom would be potentially valuable in piecing together information about the person I'm pursuing. I'm curious to see if Mr Caffrey has had any dealings with that individual, directly or indirectly."
A pause, then, "I'm also familiar with your work, Mr. Bright. While I understand the reasoning behind the FBI's dismissal, I think they did themselves a disservice in letting you go."
