TLV Permissions Post
OOC PREFERENCES:
•CONTACT METHOD: PM or plurk @ researchboner
•THREAD-JACKING: In network posts that are publicly visible, go all out! Logs I’m generally okay with it but like to communicate about timing.
•FOURTH WALLING / CANON PUNCTURE: No. The only things I’m okay with here are canonmates sharing info from his future or facetwin shenanigans. No “you’re a character/omg I’m such a huge fan of your movies” stuff pls.
•BACKTAGGING: Hell yeah, though there are situations where I might ask that we talk through a thread or handwave it.
•AVOIDED TOPICS: Jokes about dementia or realistic portrayals thereof are a hard no for me. TV style amnesia plots and things like that are fine.
•PREFERRED GENDER PRONOUN: She/her
IC CHARACTERISTICS (pending):
•CURRENT CANON POINT: S5, Episode 11. (Shot Through The Heart)
•PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Noticeable physical characteristics of your character. Including scent and manner of speech for those that would notice these things is encouraged, as is how they might dress on the Barge.
•DEMEANOR: A short description of how your character behaves.
•ABILITIES: Talents or physical strengths/powers.
•MEDICAL INFORMATION: N/A
•CABIN INFORMATION:
It’s not a large space. The bed is a hand-me-down twin that’s really too small for a teenage boy, but that's clearly whose room its supposed to be. The late 60s wallpaper peels under a layer of taped up movie and TV posters from the early-to-mid 1980s. Miami Vice, Sherlock Holmes, Hunter, Robin Hood.
Drawings are pinned up between the posters. Some of them are unarguably good though inexperienced copies of familiar masterworks. But there are others. Graceful, clumsy portraits of scenes and people done by a hand that knows what good is but not how to get there quite yet.
There are books everywhere. A crammed bookshelf, yes, but everywhere else too. Books on art, on history, on languages, sleight of hand and magic tricks, mixed in with adventure novels and the occasional squirreled away girly book. Romances stolen from his aunt to read in secret and return before she realized he was interested. Notebooks. Sketchbooks. Stolen library books from the adult sections of his local St. Louis branch. A few of the books have the name Danny Brooks written inside in tidy script.
But there's an organization to it, too. Not a bit of trash, not a single discarded piece of clothing. Almost military clean underneath the layer of educational chaos. The art supplies are all arranged according to quality and color. The books are, on closer inspection, oriented in piles by topic, spaced around the room by one topic's relation to another. The space of a kid exercising control over the one thing in their life that's truly theirs.
•OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS: He's a pretty liberal dude. The first few episodes of the show have him being kind of a womanizer, but they drop that fast, thank god, and he's intensely respectful of women for the rest of the show and very quickly irritated by anyone who isn't. He's also a bit homophobic earlier on but I don't feel like engaging with that so I don't. \8D/
IC PERMISSIONS:
•MENTAL: Can another character use mental abilities on your character? Including mind-control, clairvoyance, telepathy, empathy, or dream manipulation / intrusion.
Y E S. I love that shit. Just communicate with me about what and when!
•MIMICRY: Can another character imitate your character in physical appearance and/or voice?
Sure!
•VIOLENCE: Can another character provoke a physical fight with your character?
Yes. Neal will lose. 😎
•MAGIC: Can another character use magic on your character?
Yes! Blah blah let’s talk.
•DEBATE: Can another character pursue yours for a debate.
Yep!
•OTHER / NOTES: Any other notes about what you would prefer to happen or prefer to avoid with your character, or a link to your own individual permissions page concerning your character's abilities.
Nothing in particular. I believe in adult communication to solve or organize pretty much anything, so don’t hesitate to reach out.
