I'm glad you talked about it. It's important to her that her friends know she cares, even if she can't show it in a typical way.

She really does care about you. I wanted to know what happened so I can support her better and help if I could, and if I should.

I care about her. A lot. I love her. But I also can't and won't accept her apparent premise that being emotional makes me less objective on certain things, or that total objectivity is necessary for productive conversation.
