He trails off a moment, wondering about his own father. "When I got brought here... I was finally starting to choose. Choose who I was, for my own sake, doing what I wanted. It took that long to figure it out. It takes time, Malcolm. It always takes time. And when you're ready, you'll walk away from Martin Whitly knowing he has no power over who you've chosen to be."
